Kate Sundstrom is a Regional Philanthropic Officer for the American Red Cross- Serving Central and South Texas.
She moved from Corvallis, Oregon where worked for Samaritan Health Services for 25 years. Her role as Major Gifts Officer, helped to secure a Regional Cancer Center, implement an Adolescent Mental Health program, expand the Emergency Dept. and Heart Center. Additionally, Kate led the charge for a women’s giving circle and a grateful patient program. She managed and executed donor events, including a Gala, annual golf tournaments, Samaritan Society awards dinner, and system-wide employee events.
She was deeply engaged in her community, serving on boards of directors for United Way of Benton County, Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis, and Center Against Rape & Domestic Violence, CARDV. She completed Leadership Corvallis. Kate is a past president of Kiwanis and Rotary After Five of Corvallis. Within the past ten years, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Human Studies and a Master’s in Business Administration.
Family: Her son, Eric, is a financial advisor with Edward Jones in Corvallis, Oregon.
Hobbies: Golfing, hiking, wine tasting and travel.
