Shannon Hamilton is the Executive Director of the Central Texas Water Coalition (CTWC), a nonprofit dedicated to advocating for the Highland Lakes and the water supply of Central Texas.

Mary-Ellen is a multi-faceted, results driven, and strategic leader and litigator with 23+ years of experience in leading both legal and management operations.
She is current President of the Austin Bar Association. As a part of her Presidency, she started the Stop the Stigma initiative. Her goal during her Presidency is to save one life through having open and honest discussions about these challenges.

Edmond Martin has been seen in television programs such as City Confidential, Vanished, Forensic Files, American Justice, A&E, BBC, Discovery – Investigation, the documentary Good Riddance, and Murder by the Book all concerning his investigation of the disappearance of Atheist Leader Madalyn Murray O'Hair and her family.
Rotarians Dana Rushing, Helena Zheng, Diane Hern, and Dr. Jeff Arnett (not pictured) surprised Cedar Creek Elementary 5th grade teacher, Janna Price, while she was eating lunch with her colleagues this past Monday. Jay is the Executive Director of the Gulf of Mexico Trust and previously served as Associate Director of Texas Parks Wildlife Foundation. He co-produced the film Deep in the Heart of Texas. And co-producer and co-director of the documentary series Chasing the Tide.
It is with great sadness that we share news of the passing of beloved club member, R.O. Williams. We will greatly miss R.O.’s smile and warm, welcoming nature at our weekly meetings and are grateful for his support of the work of both our local club and more broadly the work of Rotary International. R.O. was recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow +1.

Most recently Jim and Nancy were members of a Rotary group that helped improve education for young children in South Africa. Jim and Nancy will provide information on this Rotary activity in South Africa.
An Austin native, James moved to West Lake Hills in 2018. He grew up in Tarrytown, attended St. Stephen's, Stanford, and UT for his MBA. Before becoming Mayor, he served on the Bond Committee, ZAPCO, and City Council.

January’s Educator of the Month Award to Eanes Elementary Librarian Cathi Brown
Dr. David Hillis is the Professor, Director (Academic) of Integrative Biology, College of Natural Sciences at UT. He will present highlights of his latest book, Armadillos and Ziziphus, to Westlake Rotary on January 14. (The book will be available for purchase after the meeting.)
James Dalthorp, a UT graduate, is the lecturing professor in Sports Communication at UT's Moody's College of Communication and will be speaking to the Westlake Rotary Club on "The NCAA and the Future of Athletics at Texas" .

Ariel Chasen is a graduate researcher at UT Austin. She is conducting an IRB-approved research study on accessibility in ecological field environments.
Kimberly will discuss the American Heart Association's initiatives, the Go Red for Women campaign, and how you can advocate for and support their efforts.

Hayley will present on the Wildlife Rescue of Central Texas, which she started this year. She looks forward to caring for wildlife in Central Texas and educating people about the importance of wild animals in our ecosystem.
