My name is Ariel Chasen, a graduate researcher at UT Austin, and I am conducting an IRB-approved research study on accessibility in ecological field environments. I am interested in recruiting participants that are over the age of 18, and have some experience with disability either personally, as a caretaker, or in a temporary capacity (i.e., a broken leg). During this study you will complete surveys and focus groups and will be asked to complete fieldwork activities such as specimen collection or plant identification while discussing disability-related topics at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. All ability levels are welcome and wanted and we will work with you to ensure your participation in the activities. These focus groups will be audio recorded. Participation is voluntary, and you can skip questions or end your involvement in the focus group at any time. All identifying information will be removed from the transcript, and pseudonyms will be used in the final report. By participating in this study, you will be entered into a raffle to win a $100 Amazon gift card.

After you sign up for a spot you will receive additional information and instructions including consent forms, an initial survey, and materials to prepare for your field session.

2.      Participate in a focus group that will last approximately three hours at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. You will schedule a time to participate in this focus group using the link above.
