An Austin native, James moved to West Lake Hills in 2018. He grew up in Tarrytown, attended St. Stephen's, Stanford, and UT for his MBA. Before becoming Mayor, he served on the Bond Committee, ZAPCO, and City Council. He has three little children ages six, four, and two. Professionally, he led the software company Value Voting, which was part of Y-Combinator's 2017 class, and now manages Bendecido, Ltd.
