Cathy Hoover joined the Westlake Chamber of Commerce as the Executive Director in spring of 2018.  For the past year and a half, her focus has been on growing the membership, increasing member engagement, creating more meaningful community service and offering greater sponsorship opportunities.  Cathy plans to continue her focus as the voice of the business community through the development of the Leadership Westlake program and by advocating on key community issues.

Cathy has been actively engaged with the Westlake community since she met her husband, Rex WHS ’81, in the early nineties.  In 2004, they moved back to Austin to raise their two boys in Eanes ISD.  Cathy immediately became involved in the community through the Junior League of Austin, several school and sports booster clubs, and through her work with the Eanes Education Foundation where she has served in a variety of roles over the last 14 years, most recently on staff as the Development Director and Westlake Alumni Association Director.  Cathy is currently enjoying her time on the Eanes Envision Committee, Westlake High School Guidance Committee, Young Men’s Service League Board and as Social Co-Chair with Rex for WHS Varsity Football.  She is also having fun watching Rex chair the Chap Club Golf Tournament.
