My wife (Kathleen) and I have been married for forty-two years and have two grown children and four grandchildren, all living in San Antonio. Other than a couple of work-related relocations to California, we have lived in Austin since 1995.
After practicing as an intellectual property attorney for over thirty years, I became an Administrative Patent Judge with the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) in 2015. I continue in that position and telework from our home in Lost Creek.
Kathleen and I became involved with Mobile Loaves and Fishes (MLF) about ten years ago. My memory of our first involvement is a trip with MLF founder, Alan Graham, to an essentially vacant plot of land this is now the Community First! Village.
Our involvement with MLF began with donations, and evolved to “make ready” for truck runs (Kathleen) and monthly truck runs to deliver food to the homeless. About a year ago, I became the fundraising coordinator for the MLF Commissary at St. John Neumann Catholic Church (our parish).
