The Westlake Fire Department has a Mission to preserve life and property by providing community risk reduction and emergency response that exceeds the expectations of the community. During the current pandemic and the February Winter Storm in 2021, Chief David Wilson and the Department met that mission and continue to provide service that exceeds the communities’ expectations. The Department has maintained staffing level goals during the pandemic and responded to emergencies during the winter storm that ranged from house fires, picking up nurses so they could work at the hospital, to delivering groceries and medicine to our residents. Chief Wilson and his team are dedicated to making sure the Westlake area is as safe as possible. Chief Wilson has over 25 years of service with the Westlake Fire Department, an organization of 40 personnel that are committed in service to provide emergency response that is dependable and compassionate, addresses the fire safety needs of residents and the business community, and delivers safety education to our youth through scouts and Eanes ISD.
