Kathryn currently works at Austin Wildlife Rescue as the Animal Care Manager.  Her background is in education where she was an elementary school teacher for almost 9 years.  She began volunteering with Austin Wildlife Rescue, which refueled her passion for wildlife and she accepted a job with us the next year, moving quickly through many different roles at our organization.  Kathryn wears many hats at AWR not only as Animal Care Manager, but also as Social Media Coordinator, Release Coordinator, and assisting with fundraising and events.  Her quality and creativity of care for over 300 different species of wildlife (and over 9,000 animals a year) are what make her a true role model for wildlife rehabilitation.
