They may look like simple bags of rice and soy, but Rise Against Hunger meals represent the hopes and dreams of people worldwide. Our volunteers are the heart of our mission to end hunger by 2030 and we could not send millions of meals around the globe each year without them.
Since 2005, our volunteer groups have packaged nearly 500 million meals, and each year we engage hundreds of thousands of volunteers globally. We rely on groups of any size in locations across the world to package our meals — this is where you come into play.
The Rotary Club of Austin North by Northeast is hosting a Rise Against Hunger service project on Saturday November 16 from 1:00 – 5:00 pm at Casa Chapala located at 9041 Research Blvd, Ste. 100 (corner of Burnet Rd and Research Blvd aka Hwy 183). We will be assembling 10,000 meals to be shipped to needy community. We welcome as many Rotarians, family, and friends that would like to participate. The project usually takes about 2.5 hours.
